Client Service Agreement

1. Maintenance and Hosting

  • Platform & Hosting: I prefer to work with WordPress using the Salient theme, and my preferred hosting providers are GoDaddy and SecureServer, however, I can flex depending on circumstances. If you don’t have a host or domain, I’ll set up an account for you on SecureServer.net. For sites on shared servers, a transfer to your own account will be required.
  • Annual Costs: Expect an annual cost of around $250, covering hosting, domain, backups, SSL, and basic security. These charges come directly from SecureServer, and I’ll use your credit card to make any necessary purchases.
  • Maintenance: A maintenance plan with automatic payments is required to keep your site up-to-date and functioning smoothly. See below for more.
  • SEO: Very fundamental on-page SEO is typically included upon launch, depending on the project budget. More advanced SEO options can be discussed as needed.

2. Scope of Services

  • Truman Marketing Group will provide the services as outlined on each project’s invoice. All details related to the scope of work will be included in each invoice for transparency.

3. Communication

  • Speed of Work: The faster I receive the content and details needed, the sooner I can complete your project. Most projects are completed within 30 days, depending on their complexity and the information provided.
  • Response Time: Timely communication is critical. If I don’t receive responses in a reasonable time, I may choose to end our working relationship and return the project for someone else to complete.
  • Preferred Communication: I prefer email communication but can arrange calls as needed. I typically respond within a day or so during the week and take weekends off.

4. Payment Terms

  • Invoices: Work is tracked by the minute, and invoices are sent monthly around the 1st, covering the previous month’s work. My rate is $150/hour, billed in exact increments. Payment is due within 30 days.
  • Estimates: Any estimate provided is an approximation. We’ll discuss your budget before I start, ensuring it aligns with your goals.
  • Non-Payment: If payment is not received, I reserve the right to unpublish your site and pursue legal action if necessary.
  • Recurring Charges: For ongoing charges (such as hosting or software), your credit card will be directly billed so you retain full control.
  • Project Termination: You may terminate our agreement at any time. However, any work completed up until that date must be paid in full.

5. Ownership

  • The final product will belong to you. However, I retain the right to showcase the work on my website, social media, or other promotional channels.

6. Warranty Disclaimer

  • I cannot guarantee specific results or success from my work, nor am I liable for any unintended consequences or revenue loss. Under no circumstances am I responsible for indirect, direct, or incidental damages related to this project.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Any materials (like images or logos) you provide must be legally obtained and free from copyright restrictions.
  • Depending on the project, I may involve team members. In some cases, their rates may differ, or their services may incur additional project-based fees. You agree not to hire my subcontractors directly for 1 year after our agreement ends.
