Scope of Services
- The scope of services will be agreed upon before project initiation and details will be included in each invoice for transparency.
Intellectual Property
- Any materials (like images or logos) you provide must be legally obtained and free from copyright restrictions.
Ownership
- The final product will belong to you. However, I retain the right to showcase the work on my website, social media, or other promotional channels.
Communication
- Timely communication is essential to stay on track. If I continually do not receive responses in a reasonable time, I may choose to end our working relationship and return the project.
Payment Terms
- Estimates: Any estimate provided is an approximation and not a guarantee.
- Invoices: We never charge by the project. Work is tracked by the minute, and invoices are sent monthly around the 1st, covering the previous month’s work. My rate is $150/hour, billed in exact increments. Payment is due within 30 days of invoicing.
- Non-Payment: If payment is not received within 60 days of invoicing, I reserve the right to unpublish your site and pursue legal action if necessary.
- Recurring Charges: For ongoing charges (such as hosting or software), your credit card will be directly billed to that company so you retain full control. Expect a minimum annual cost of around $250, covering hosting, domain, backups, SSL, and basic security. If your site goes down because of a billing lapse on your account, my attempts to resurrect it will be billed hourly.
- Project Termination: You and I both may terminate our agreement at any time. However, any work completed until that date must be paid in full.
Ongoing Work
- Maintenance: Once the site is launched, a basic maintenance plan of $25/month with automatic payments is required to keep your site up-to-date and functioning smoothly.
- Ongoing Updates: Content updates, SEO, and all work except maintenance and hosting costs are billed at my hourly rate.
